Technical work within
a working yacht’s life.

A captain’s reference from summer 2016 records Ersun and Ceylan’s refit and technical support to Prana between 2013 and 2016, alongside full agency services during 2016.

The account describes a busy charter yacht whose itinerary required continuing technical and shore-side support. In Türkiye, the refit involved carpentry, painting, stainless steel and predominantly engineering work.

The work recorded

  • Engineering work and the coordination of specialist support.
  • Carpentry, painting and stainless steel work during refit in Türkiye.
  • Continued technical support around the Mediterranean through subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Logistics and provisioning support alongside the technical programme.

A relationship built around follow-through

The captain’s account recognises Ersun’s ability to understand technical requirements and direct the work efficiently. It also records Ceylan’s role in logistics and provisioning, keeping the wider operating needs of the yacht connected.

The record shows the value of a team that understands both the technical work and the yacht’s continuing operational demands.

Why this history matters

Prana demonstrates that Mono’s approach grew out of practical yacht support: working with specialists, understanding the pressures onboard and maintaining a relationship across seasons and locations.

This is a historical account of Ersun and Ceylan’s experience. The 2013–2016 period records the relationship; it does not date every individual work item or imply that all work took place under the same contracting entity.

Prana is the yacht’s name during the period described. Length, builder and build year are corroborated by Fraser’s vessel record. The photograph on this page is a phone still of the yacht leaving a pier from Mono’s archive, not the Fraser 2019 under-sail brochure image used in the draft.
