The owner’s side.
The whole picture.

A successful refit depends on how well the people, decisions and work fit together. Mono Refit is the technical and refit division of Mono Yachting. We work with owners, captains, yacht managers and shipyards to define the requirement, coordinate specialist teams and keep the project moving with clarity.

02 / Our approach

Control.
Structure.
Discipline.

A working principle, every day.

Know what needs to happen. Know who is responsible. Keep the right people informed, check the detail and act before a small issue becomes a larger one.

That is how we bring order to a demanding refit.

01 —

Communication

Clear information, useful updates and decisions that reach the people who need to act.

02 —

Attention to detail

Check the scope, the specification and the finish. Follow the detail through to the result.

03 —

Proactivity

Look ahead at dependencies, lead times and pressure points. Raise them while there is time to respond.

In execution Anticipation → Reaction → Control

03 / Technical scope

The right expertise.
Properly coordinated.

We establish what the project needs and bring together the yard, qualified specialists and yacht team. Each party’s responsibility is clear.

01 / Owner representation

The owner’s interests. A clear line of responsibility.

We work with the owner’s team, captain and management company to turn the brief into an agreed scope. Priorities, responsibilities and decisions stay visible as the project develops.

  • Scope review and priorities
  • Yard and specialist coordination
  • Progress and decision reporting
  • Cost and programme oversight
What you receive: An agreed scope, a named lead and a clear reporting structure.

04 / How we work

From the first question
to the final handover.

We agree the scope, responsibilities and reporting around the needs of each project. The sequence stays practical and visible.

01 ↗

Assess

Understand the yacht, the concern and the time available. Identify what needs further inspection.

A clear initial brief.
02 ↗

Define

Agree the work packages, responsibilities, exclusions and approval points.

A scope people can work to.
03 ↗

Plan

Coordinate the yard, specialists, procurement and dependencies around a realistic programme.

A practical sequence of work.
04 ↗

Coordinate

Follow progress, resolve interfaces and communicate changes while decisions can still be made.

Visible progress and timely decisions.
05 ↗

Verify

Review the work against the agreed scope with the appropriate specialists, captain and surveyors.

Inspection records and a clear snag list.
06 ↗

Redeliver

Bring the work, documentation and remaining obligations together for an orderly handover.

An agreed close-out and follow-up plan.

Local knowledge.
A wider perspective.

Choosing the yard is only the beginning. The work also depends on access, specialist availability, technical purchasing and people who can follow through on site.

Our refit coordination is supported by Mono Yachting’s agency and logistics experience, with provisioning available through Ceylan’s team at Mono Provisions.

We love
what we do.

Behind every finished surface and every resolved technical problem are people who care about their work. We value the skill of the engineers, crew, shipyard teams and craftspeople involved — and we give them their share of the credit.
